Author Biography:

Martha Cooper is a documentary photographer who has specialized in shooting urban vernacular art and architecture for more than thirty years. With her over twenty books and countless exhibitions around the world, she is one of the most important portrayers of street life and urban culture today. Her previous books include Subway Art, Tag Town, Hip Hop Files, New York State of Mind and Going Postal. She lives in Manhattan.
