MASH hardly needs a review. Season ten is the usual mix of comedy and drama, the horrors of war and the madness doctors and nurses in a warzone have to resort to just to stay sane. 21 episodes, including one double. I wouldn't say that any of my favourite episodes are in season ten, but it's an enjoyable few evenings' viewing.
Unlike many releases of TV shows on DVD (including the complete all-in-the-one-box ‘4077th Collection’ of MASH), the discs in this box set have a ‘play all’ option which seriously limits the amount of mucking around in menus you have to do.
In terms of picture and audio quality, I've seen better restorations for DVD from this period of TV production, but of course they can only work with the source material they have. Overall, not the best value way to buy MASH if you want the whole series, but if you just want to dabble… well, these episodes will bear frequent re-viewings over the years–this show has a timeless quality, and I think folks will still be watching and loving it for decades to come.
