Mass Effect Andromeda reviews

Admittedly, I didn't get this game for myself. I got it for my partner, who is a huge gamer. I've always liked playing games, grew up playing a friends ps1, and spent a large amount of my childhood playing computer games and gameboy. Once I got older, I had far less time for gaming, and only played now and then, either my old ps2 or a few computer games. Then when my partner and I got together, he introduced me to his ps4. We started playing multiplayer games, and I started spending a bit more time playing it myself. When Mass Effect Andromeda arrived, he asked if I would install it for him and get it set up (as i'd just been put off work on acc for a broken foot) I never thought I would like this game, however, I decided to have a play and just see what it was like. I got hooked. Line and sinker. Absolutely love this game. I find the mix between hard line story and side missions is good, as if you get sick of doing one thing, you can mix it up and go do something else. If you like intense combat, theres plenty of that to be found, or if you like the quests and exploring more, theres plenty of that too, and you can set the game up to focus on the aspects you prefer. There is really good depth to the characters, and I love that depending on how your character reacts, responds and the decisions you make, it can change aspects of the story and even your relationship with other npcs. I would highly recommend this to a wide range of gamers, as there is something for nearly every player, and the story line is aptivating, it really makes you want to know what is going on, why it's happening and how things happened the way they did. I've heard some people picking at small things, but to me it's about the overall gameplay, and if you're going to pick holes over tiny things then you need a better hobby. Yes sometimes small things don't line up graphics wise, or there's the odd visual/graphics glitch, but it's not major and it's never detracted from my enjoyment of this game. Totally love this game!

Everything I expected from mass effect classy graphics, interesting story, intuitive interface for gameplay.

Good single player and multiplayer but mass effect 3 multiplayer was better.

i had high hopes for this game, however the tacky animation and dull story was what brought it down. I had hoped for new species of aliens and more adrenaline missions but most of them are just the same things as were in ME3/2. the graphics can be really bad at times esp the non existent facial expressions are just uhh. if you are someone that is a die hard fan of ME or choice games, dont go for ths game becos most of the choices dont really alter the story in any huge way, and tbh Me3/2 has better graphics than this game

Most of the mechanics of the game remain intact from the previous games in the series but the storytelling is laughable. None of the characters are particularly interesting. It is not a terrible game but is a terrible Mass Effect game.

Awesome sci fi rpg game, going to take me hours to visit all the planets. Minor bugs, overall very happy.

Truly an epic game and well worth the legacy of Mass Effect.

I was so hyped for this game that I refused to see the shortcomings. But still is a decent game overall. 8/10 would new game plus again

If you wrote this game off when it was released, like I did it seems to be fixed now. If you like Mass Effect do yourself a favour and play it.

To be honest wasn't a big fan of the Mass Effect series but playing this one has changed my thoughts on the series even though the ending for 3 was atrocious. Not sure what everyone is complaining about, maybe they just want to complain for the sake of complaining.

Great game, finished it and left wanting more to do.

ignore the superficial reviews about the facial animations and given the game a go if you like action rpg's – the combat and power system is great and i have sunk about 73 hours into the game before finishing it.
