"Fills the gaps well and helps explain Liara's personality in ME2"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

A good four part series, and a must read for true Mass Effect fans. Much like the novels, this does a good job of filling in some blanks and delving deeper into the Mass Effect universe. Also like the books it remains very vague as to specific details in the games, meaning that it doesn't conflict with any of the choices the player can make (there's even a little jab at the whole Shepard being either male or female aspect).

The art is generally well detailed and fits the universe, though character models don't always remain completely consistent throughout (Liara's face can vary wildly even on the same page, varying from looking dead-on to almost nothing like her at all). The story isn't earth-shattering fantastic, but more than does the job it needed to. Most importantly it explores why Liara's personality was a lot darker and more sinister in the second game compared to her gentler and somewhat naive personality in the original.

With news that the comics may continue on beyond this, perhaps we'll see more of this, or perhaps the adventures of other comics (there's already been an 8-page freebie up at IGN since exploring a small piece of Aria's life).

"Great strory"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

A very good story about what Liara gets up to after Shepard dies. Cereberus, Miranda and and a Drell are all involved. Only thing wrong with it is the characterisation of Liara in that she isn't as she was in the video game. All of a sudden she has lost all ignorance for human culture is able to come up with witty statements even though in the video game she is a plain and boring scientist.

"Mass effect must have"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

During the first year of production for the Mass Effect Video game series the production team went about creating the Mass effect universe. While the tale of commander Sheppard is central to this the universe still has many stories left to tell. They go from before and during and after the three game series. This comic is a great introduction to new fans of the games as it follows Liara T'soni a character in all three mass effect games. This story is solely about the beautiful asair and will leave you wanting more of this amazing world. Pick up your copy today and delve into the Mass effect universe!!!!
