Author Biography:

Meet Rhonda M/R Johnson Born and raised in the Nation's Capital Washington, DC, she is a Certified Peer Specialist, a speaker and author of two published books that address self-awareness, self-worth and self-love. As of January 2017, she became the founder and CEO of Memoirs of 2165, LLC, a research and development company whose focal point is based on Education Hope and Solutions regarding co-occurring behavioral disorders of all addictions, mental health and suicidal ideation through literature books, surveys, collecting data, collaborative workshops, and peer professional engagements. Compelled by societies misunderstanding of co-occurring disorders and motivated by her personal pain and triumphs living life from suicidal thoughts, depression and addictions, Rhonda M/R Johnson, has become an advocate of change to share her story of transformation-that no matter what a person has done, recovery is possible. She attends and speaks regularly on Capitol Hill as an advocate for those forgotten from the crack-cocaine era to help those struggling for solutions with the opioid /heroin crisis. On May 12th 2018 as chair and founder of first DC Walk 4 ReCovery on the National Mall, she organized a walk to bring awareness, education, hope and solutions to co-occurring disorders with participants from the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia and from the walk she was featured in the Washington Post, the East of the River Magazine, Street Sense Media and WHUR Radio Station as an agent for change and a survivor of the crack-cocaine epidemic of Washington, DC. When asked why do you share your life's story of the good and bad with others-with a smile on her face, her reply is simply-I share the love of a living God that has given me grace and mercy, so it does not matter what others thinks about me, except the one that has given me the assignment to help others know that...never be ashamed of your story it can help someone understand there is help, hope and treatment out there.
