Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance reviews

Coming from a line of some of the best games ever, MGS 2: Substance lives up to all expectations. Having cutting edge graphics for its time, the game is both captivating and fun and never ceases to entertain. The unique and outstanding gameplay outclasses other titles such as Splinter Cell and Syphon Filter, creating one of the best experiences on PS2

This game is immensly satisfying, the gameplay and graphic detail for a ps2 game are seriously up there with any ps3 game, and the storyline is nothing short of amazing aswell. I highly reccomend this game – 10/10

I spent so long raiding Video Store clearances trying to find this game, and was so stoked when MightyApe re-released it for sale. If you already own MGS2:Sons of Liberty then I can assure you this is still worth buying! With Snakes side-missions and hilarious VR missions this game is a must for any MGS fan.

I have been looking for this game for a while and couldn't believe my luck when I saw Mighty Ape had it – and for such a bargain! I had to get it! Very happy with it, an awesome game and I love the Skateboarding bonus. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who's a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series!

I love the metal gear solid series, and after playing through and loving both 2 and 3, I knew I'd have to find Substance and Subsistence. I managed to find Subsistence elsewhere, but I was very thankful that this game was up for sale on here, as it took me years to find both of them for fairly reasonable prices =D

This is the first time I bought this game, as my other one was a standard Sons of Liberty version.

While this game isn't a PS2 exclusive, it does pack a punch.

Firstly you get all the Substance stuff and a exclusive Skateboarding mini-game only on PS2 version.

Why is this game good? It has the original Sons of Liberty and VR missions. Plus a added bonus of Snake tails. I also think that this game has plenty of replay value.

What does gameplay contain? Getting the goodies from this game is pretty hard, unlike MGS3 where you meet certain rank requirements. This one you have to collect dog tags from every enemy in the game.

However its rewarding at least, unlike MGS Twin Snakes, where you get nothing from collecting dog tags.

Its pretty hard to get a PC version these days, as you will face many bugs even if you did manage to get one.

Enough said, you need this game as its not one that you want to miss.
