Metalheads is an imaginative combination of Monty Python and Knights of the Roundtable, mixed with a whole heap of mud and medieval mirth. The story centres around five young kids who, through a chance encounter, enrol themselves in the prestigious Metalheads Academy for future honourable knights. The Metalheads – pretty typical kids you might bump into in any town at any time today. You just happen to meet them several hundred years ago in a medieval world populated by toothless hags, foreign assassins, brutal beggars, part-time rogues, full-time rogues, teeth-pullers, wild bores, foul-smelling relatives wanting to say ‘My how you’ve grown’ and to plant a slobbery kiss on you, over-worked serfs, under-cooked vegetables…. and then there are the bad guys. It’s tough out there in these muddy, muddy medieval times!! Directed by Chris Hermans, known for his directorial work on Nickelodeon's Rugrats and Rocketpower. EPISODES AN UNCIVIL SUIT Lady Liddy, Lester, Bob, Schmed and Drucilla embark on their quest to become fully-fledged members of the Metalheads Academy, the training school for knights. THE END OF TIME Schmed tells the other Metalheads that he has stopped time. Unfortunately, they believe him. WATCH YE BIRDIE When Lady Liddy loses her father’s prized falcon, poor Bob gets roped in to impersonate it. If only he could really fly… DANGLING DAN’S DAY OFF The five Metalheads help Dangling Dan to fulfil his greatest wish. CLOSED CIRCUIT TAPESTRY The Metalheads are caught skipping school by the dastardly Sheriff of Nothingham with the aid of his surveillance tapestry.
