Only Metallica could mix their hard rock acts with a symphony orchestra and pull it off. The sound quality is near perfect, and the video quality is exceptional, considering the time of filming, it was beyond my expectations. James Hetfield manages to sound just as good live as he does in the studio and Hammett's solo's sound great! The song list that Metallica has prepared is one of the best they could of come up with, from 2 new songs (at the time) to the heavy metal classics. The orchestra just adds another dimension to Metallica's music and in my opinion, it works well.

When i first heard metallica had done a live concert with an orchastra i instantly thought that this is going to go no where. But after i had listened to there hit song " Enter Sandman" i was inthrilled and couln't stop listening.
Mixing one of the best “alternate rock” bands of all time with the number 1 orchastra in america (to date) was just a career defying move but hey managed to pull it off.

This is the first live performance of Metallica; and I have to say it blew me away. The mix of classic Metallica songs with instrumental orchestra blends beautifully.

This is one great dvd, there is no down fall to the show and how it has been captured. Sounds quality is near perfect and the camera work to catch everything that is happening is close to the same. A stunning performance captured in great detail. A must have for any Metallica fan. Highly recommended.
