Author Biography:

Richard A. Santillán is professor emeritus of ethnic and women studies at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. Coauthors are Camila Alva López, museum curator and board member of the San Gabriel Historical Association; James H. Aguirre, San Gabriel author and historian of Native Americans; Donna Galván, lupus awareness advocate and Native American civil rights supporter; and Mark R. García, former San Gabriel Valley player and longtime MLB scout.
