After his death back in 2009, I decided to pick up some books from the library on Michael Jackson and among them was “The Man Behind the Mask”.

Upon reading this it is quite obvious that this is just an absolutely revolting attempt to get cash off Jackson's name, ruin Jackson's name and… It's just filled of sickening lies to put it in a few words. Look at the description, Bob Jones claims he invented Michael's famous nickname the King of Pop but I distinctly remember Elizabeth Taylor calling him “The King of Pop, Rock and Soul” for the first time at some award show in 1989. After this, the media picked it up and called him that (To ensure, I looked this up on YouTube and I was correct).

Bob Jones created Michael Jackson- Oh, I thought Joe Jackson, Berry Gordy, The “Motown 25th Anniversary” performance, the moonwalk, the moves, the voice, the family, the innovative music videos, the TALENT and charisma, I thought all of those things helped “create” Michael Jackson.

Bob Jones knew Jackson for 30 something years but was eventually fired by Jackson. Only then did he come out with this book. Now when you are fired, you're normally mad at your employer right- Well that only back-ups

He goes on about Michael not liking black people. Yep. Michael Jackson hates his own race. That's why he spoke up about racism, defended his race often, visited and defended Africa so often and spoke of Africa and told people how beautiful it was.

Bob Jones keeps calling MJ “the King” only to follow with sarcastic comments. You can tell it's just full of anger for him from cover to cover.

Did I mention that Bob Jones says that he was supposedly witnessing all kinds of things but never reported them and kept working for Jackson. What kind of person would witness the things he suggests and keep working for years and years for a man who was doing these things and was supposedly so horrible- Hell, the FBI, yes the Federal Bureau of Investigation, investigated Michael Jackson from the first allegations until a year or so ago and recently published documents stated that they were unable to find any evidence what so ever.

He then mentions that Jackson had to be PAID for his charity work. Yeah, that why Michael has spent a reported 350,000,000 PLUS on charities around the world. Michael did an incredible amount for suffering people all over the world but the media rarely, if ever, covered it because Michael never went to them about it as he didn't care about the publicity, he just cared about the people he was helping.

I honestly have not read such disgusting trash in my life before. I suggest that if you're wanting to read about Michael Jackson, you read the book: “Michael Jackson: The Magic, the Madness, the Whole Story, 1958–2009” by J.Randy Taraborrelli (it's here on Mighty Ape, check it out). This book is HUGE and one of the books I got out. It goes into extreme detail and is pretty much 99% unbiased, unlike this piece of trash. Do yourself a favor and skip this book. It is full of lies that are proved false when you actually do research into them.
