"A.Creed in LOTR style = ULTRA AWESOME"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The game is freaking awesome, very detailed, and very hands on and I mean fingers on the button all the time when doing some wicked wicked moves and combos. Got the game after release day pretty quick THANKS MIGHTYAPE (Thumbs Up). Its an Open World game with a bit of A.Creed gameplay but this in LOTR style. The characters are awesome and the enemy is very detailed as well. Its has lots and I mean lots of side-missions and few main-mission so its best to do the side-missions to get some good gear because it gets abit tricky. I kid you not as soon as you do some of the main-missions be prepared to command an army and bend the enemy to your will. The storyline is pretty awesome and the creation of the rings of power was a surprise bringer for me (Cut Scene to watch it). OVERALL, an awesome game to add to my collection of favorites and looking forward to the DLC coming out soon.

Very short game, finished it in 2 days! But the combat and is fluid and fun, story is a bit bland but it is a great game.

"Great entertainment!"

This game is awesome! The Nemesis engine is a great change to your usual games and it is challenging when you are fighting one captain and others join the fight, especially when you’re almost dead!

"LotR mixed with Assassins Creed"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

An amazing game with and awesome story… cons: Sometime the battle/fight functions can be clunky and off. After a while the Uruks repeat Only 3 weapon choices

Pros: Amazing story great visuals fun combat (when not be annoying)

Would recommend to any assassin creed fan or Lord of the Rings!

"Clunky controls"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The control system let this game down. Turn in to a button masher in places. Reasonable graphics and story line. But not a huge game. Not disappointing but plenty of other games that have done this type of action game better. But if you are a LOTR fan (like me) you'll no doubt play it through to the end (and enjoy it).

"Don't believe the hype"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Just because they finally made a good game for a brand that's struggled with mediocre games for however long doesn't mean it's great.

It's fun for the first hour or so, then pretty much exactly the same for the rest of the time you play.

"Fun, intriguing, dynamic"

Free-roam gaming at its best, elements of Assassins creed.

"Highly recommended"

I wasn't sure if I would like this one going in; I love Tolkein's works, but I found the idea of this game somehow a big turn-off.

The game itself squashes all that; it's more film-esque than book-esque, but despite that manages to give you a good ride in a way that won't rub against the edges of either.

It's a big sandbox game – lots to do, none of it feels like a grind, and I spend most of my time just experiencing the world.

Four stars not five because the game has a steep learning curve that almost put me off. Once you unlock a few skills (+2 hours) you'll find it really picks up.

"Too complicated"

Kill boss orcs, an orc goes up. An orc kills another orc, and another orc. Too confoooosing.

"Epic"
4 stars"

Shadow of Mordor is a overall great game, the combat is fun and the story is enticing, as well as fantastic voice acting. This game now being quite cheap is definitely worth a buy as well as the sequel.

"Short, but Sweet"

Really enjoyed this game. Campaign is short, but there is so many extra things to do and is a relatively easy platinum trophy.

"A solid and fun game"

Shadow of Mordor will keep any LotR fans or even assassin creed fans busy for while. It's nemesis system does a great job of building rivalry's with your enemies, something a single player game has not done for me in a while. The fact that you are banished from death also means that dying and re-spawning is not an unrealistic feature and actually ties in really well with Orc captains stating “I could of sworn I left you for dead” when you try to get revenge against them. The landscape does at some points feel a bit repetitive with little diversity other than treeless grass areas and muddy flats but this is actually not to disruptive as not much more would be expected from a place like Mordor. I would recommend the game if you are considering the purchase. As far as delivery is concerned it arrived safe and sound within 3 or 4 working days and at a much better price then somewhere like EB Games

"Near Perfect"
4 stars"

I love this game, It is challenging and thrilling, it's got the backbone of Assassin's Creed, similar concept (even similar story line in some ways) the animations are brilliant, as are the graphics. One of the similarities to AC is the movements, which is the only thing keeping it from perfection, if the movements were a bit more fluent, this would be a five star game, easily. Defintely recommend it.

"Not bad"
3 stars"

IMO it's not that great. The “world” that you're in, doesn't really feel alive at all. There is no exploration because there is nothing to find. Some of the Orc warchiefs and captains are surrounded with 50+ enemies which it very stupid. A lot more I could write.
