CASE 3 – DEATH OF A HOLLOW MAN
During rehearsals for the forthcoming production of Amadeus, the bludgeoned body of local resident Agnes Gray is dragged from a lake. If that’s not enough for Inspector Barnaby to investigate, inter-cast passions & hatreds animate the first night's performance & when Esslyn Carmichael follows the script & cuts his throat with a razor, the prop dummy has been substituted with a real one, leaving him dead on stage. Cast and crew are all suspects but Barnaby discovers the stealing & selling of valuable art objects from Europe have lead to murder.

CASE 4 – FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH
In the village of Morton Fendle, local investors believe they have been conned out of a considerable sum by a group of businessmen who are redeveloping the Old Mill. When the wife of the wealthy Mill owner suddenly disappears, he informs Inspector Barnaby she has simply left him, but Barnaby is convinced there is more to the story & suspects she is the victim of a kidnapping plot. When the Mill owner himself is found poisoned, all of the aggrieved investors are suspects.
