'Chemico Paste Cleaner’ on a wet rag, to remove the sticky gunk, left
behind by those stupid stickers. Okay, with that outta the way .....
The cube, when fully assembled, is nice, & fits my needs (MANLY TOY
DISPLAAAAAY!), & I see myself buying more of these, if I see them
discounted, to buy multiples. The assembled cube gets 4 stars, but my 3 star
rating is for the overall experience. Like reviewers before me have
said .....
The stickers & assembly, really let this down. Before I found out about
the Chemico trick, removing the stickers & gunk was annoying. Had me
thinking, 99.99% of assembly time, will be removing these ridiculous stickers.
But with Chemico- Easy peasy, lemon, squeeze me.
With assembly, you get a vague instruction sheet. I’m not much of a DIY
person, but I could understand, & figure bits out for myself. My 2 main
annoyances with assembly. The instruction sheet has you assembling the cube the
wrong way. It tells you to build the cube, then install the glass door. Well
that’s wrong. You have to assemble the bottom wooden piece last, after the
glass door. Why- Because of my second annoyance. There’s no screw holes for
where the magnet has to be placed. You could guesstimate, but I didn’t want
my glass door to not sit flush with the cube, if the door was shut. I had to
line up the glass door to the shelf (as if it was closed), find & mark where
to screw the magnet, start screwing, then place the bottom shelf on, &
voilà, MAN CUBE bicep flex
An annoying assembly, for a cool display cube.
