I live in Independence, Missouri with a lazy, spoiled but beloved, house cat named Hobbes. I have five grown children and an abundance of grand- and great-grand children. I prefer to think of myself as the vibrant family matriarch rather than the ancient one. I enjoy an exclusive relationship with a great guy who lives in the Missouri Ozarks. Our commuter affair serves to keep the spark alive during our frequent visits. As early as firth grade, I knew I wanted to be a writer. That ambition was shelved for a few decades by marriage, children and career. After retiring from my job as marketing manager for a wholesale electrical distributor, I dove headlong into my passion for writing. Having been a voracious reader all my life, by the time I neared senior citizen status I had grown tired of stories starring the young and beautiful. Where were characters I could relate to-the mature and adventurous? I knew there must be others like me who wanted to read about their peers. Hence, Molly's First Golden Year was born. I am working on a follow-up novel, as yet untitled, wherein characters you meet in Molly's First Golden Year, must come to terms with secrets from the past. It will be published in early 2015.
