Description

What if President Bush's actions enabled Osama Bin Laden and the al-Qaida to destroy the United States? Before the Aurora Project can be finished the United States is invaded. The secret project consists of converted SR-71 aircraft that can fly directly into space at a speed of Mach 25 and dock with the space station Starburst. Now America's future depends on its best pilot, Beau Gex, defeating an F-14 at night, but all he has is an antiquated P-51 Mustang and an old Indian Legend, "Moon Shadow." Trapped behind enemy lines, a handful of America's best jet pilots, led by Gex, discover a dozen old World War II aircraft that they use in guerrilla-type warfare against the invaders. But when the invaders find one of the SR-71 Blackbirds, which they intend to use to destroy the space station Starburst, Beau and his men are forced to fly one last, deadly mission.
