Largely self-taught, she has been drawing since a young age, and with the support of her mum eventually made art her dream career. Angie studied graphic design and worked in the licensing industry before becoming a full-time illustrator with Award. She loves a good book shop and can spend hours browsing the shelves – children’s books being her favourite! She started her writing career with the teenage magazine, Jackie, and spent many years writing for various children’s magazines such as Thomas the Tank Engine and Winnie the Pooh before concentrating solely on writing books. Karen writes fiction for adults and teens and, to date, has published over 120 children’s books.
