"Mind blowingly good"
5 stars"

This book isn't for the faint hearted. And definitely don't leave it lying around the kids. This book deals with some horrific, adult issues. The characters are believable and utterly flawed. Reading this book gets you closer than you feel comfortable with a despicable, abusive father and his daughter, the emotionally stunted yet blossoming teenager, Turtle. If there is one book you read in 2018 let this be it.

"Devastating"

Prepare yourself for a gruelling read, but so worthwhile. I couldn't put this superbly written novel down, then felt bereft when I finished it. However, be prepared to face some really confronting issues.
