These are short stories about a caregiving period. A period in which a hidden past camp in the Dutch East Indies came to my mind. There are many warm encounters that took place, disappointed feelings, irritations, and competing priority frustrations. Irene Coopman (1955) learned writing by doing it. As a teenager, she responded on issues that engaged adolescents. She graduated at the University of Amsterdam in French Language and culture. Writing became an outlet for her emotional time as a caregiver. It gave her the chance to share her perspectives and her experiences in an airy, warm and sometimes, humorous way on paper. Irene is married and a mother of a beautiful twelve year old girl.
