National Geographic: Nazi Megastructures 3
In the quest for world domination, the Nazis built some of the biggest and deadliest pieces of military hardware and malevolent technology in history, as well as some of its most impressive defenses. They created hi-tech superguns and some of the original weapons of mass destruction, as well megaships and the Seigfried Line – all in order to control a nation, conquer a continent and win the war.
Nazi Megastructures returns with a third series that uncovers the hidden remains of some of Hitlers most ambitious projects, telling the stories of the engineers that built them and revealing how these structures changed warfare forever. Episode subjects include The Lightening War Machine, detailing the incredible success of the Blitzkrieg, Hitlers Island Megafortress, built in the Channel Islands and The Eagles Nest, his ultra-high-security Alpine retreat, which still stands today.
