"Mature Fun On The Wii!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Pros

Addictive, Humorous, controls work great, gameplay is fun, collecting t shirts is addictive, very abstract story, jobs are fun, hectic gameplay

Cons No blood in this version, framerate sometimes stutters, not as good as Killer7 in terms of graphics and gameplay

If you want a mature game on the wii that is filled to the brim with action and pop culture references and is a blast to play then pick this up! It's sort of like Kill Bill Vol 1 whilst Killer7 is like Kill Bill Vol 2. Both games are great fun though!

"Great Assasins Game"
4 stars"

In this game you play as Travis Touchdown, a wannabe assassin, slowly making his way to number 1. Throughout the game you must get money through various civilian jobs and side-job assassinations. At your cheap motel for a home, you can do various things such as change your clothes, attend to your cat Jeane's needs, watch TV and other things such as viewing trading cards you are ever collecting throughout your missions. The game is filled with vulgar language and the downside of your enemies turning into black blood upon their death in the PAL version of the game. The plot is pretty short and easy to finish if you power through the game but to get 100% in the game could take a while. Overall a great game with easy controls and very addictive.

"Very unique title"
4 stars"

The combat in NMH is one of the best examples of the old Final Fight style button-mashers being implemented in 3rd-person 3D. The gameplay manages to be just engaging enough to be entertaining without having to think too much.

The title as a whole launches from that concept to really rip apart the way we approach our gaming, and what it means to be a gamer. While you will certainly get some laughs out of the bizarre characters and situations, underneath there is a ruthless take on the state of gaming as a medium and the people who enjoy it. This carries through to other aspects of the game, such as boiling down the ‘open world sandbox’ into what is basically a minigame of powersliding around corners while driving from A to B and back again.

If you don't mind spending hours of your life picking up trash or mowing lawns in a videogame just for the sake of being reminded what you're doing with your spare tim, you might get a kick out of this, but in terms of pure fun you'd be better off with something like God of War.

Description

No More Heroes tells the story of Travis Touchdown, an anime fan who lives in the fictional town of Santa Destroy, California. After an unexpected turn of events, Travis finds himself at the bottom of an Assassins' organization. Travis will have to prove himself worthy and defeat 10 other bloodthirsty killers - all with deep stories of their own - to make his way to the top of the assassins league.

Features:
  • Hack and Smash Your Way Through Santa Destroy, California: Unleash a lethal combination of sword slashes and wrestling moves in this fast paced third-person action game. Easy to learn, but challenging to master.
  • Roam a Sand Box Universe in Full 3D: Immerse yourself in a modern, highly stylized world. Roam the city on foot or slide around corners on your speed bike.
  • An Action Experience Unlike Any Other on Wii: Bring the pain and let your plasma-beam katana do the talking. You control the action with two Wii remote sensitive attack stances and an arsenal of close combat wrestling moves.
  • Interactive Special Attacks and Over-The-Top Finishing Moves: Complete special moves by matching your Wii remote's movements to the cues on screen. The crazier you finish off your opponent, the more cash you'll earn for your efforts.
  • Side Missions and Mini-Games: Complete side jobs for extra cash or just play them for fun. Features games like Pizza Delivery, Graffiti Blaster and Speed Bike Racing.
  • Highly Stylized Environments and Gameplay: Features environments that are both stunning and stylish. Gameplay gives a nod to the classic arcade games of the 80's, as well as the games of tomorrow.
