Or is it the comedy of errors of a robbery gone horribly awry?
Mitch Rouse wrote, stars in and directed this comedic telling of the making of a film about two ordinary guys who, bored with life, and not wanting to be told what to do (including getting a job) decide to rob a grocery store.
The story is told by graduate film maker Sarah Wilder (Alanna Ubach) as she strives to "explore the why of it all", the story of her cousin Jimmy, his mate Virus and their armed robbery of McClintocks a small town grocery store.
Sarah Wilder arrives in Hollywood ready to start her career by making her first picture. Sarah's only contact is her Uncle Lou who was a screenwriter in the old days of the studio systems. Sarah learns that despite the best efforts of her has-been uncle (Michael Lerner) success in Hollywood doesn't come as easy as she had hoped, and she attempts to discover the formula for success in this satirical comedy.
With the guidance of Uncle Lou and through using his connections, she embarks on a journey into the world of show business. As we meet crazy studio executives, insane producers and gangsters we learn that the number one rule of filmmaking is absolutely, 100% true. Nobody Knows Anything.
The zany narrrative is enthralling as you try to follow the story told by eye witnesses, family members and the recollections of a cast of stars including David Pasquesi, Janeane Garofalo, Kristen Johnson, Virginia Madsen, Fred Willard, Richard Kind and Wayne Rogers, to name just a few.
Nobody Knows Anything also brings you cameo appearances by a number of cast members from Saturday Night Live including such luminaries as Mike Myers (look out for his 'eye witness'), Margaret Cho and Ben Stiller.
Nobody Knows Anything will have you star spotting and laughing til the final credits roll.
