1990, QUALIFYING FINAL | PANTHERS 26—16 BRONCOS
Having waited 23 years to taste Finals success, the Panthers faced a Broncos
team brimming with
representative stars. But it was the emergence of Penrith’s own young guns
Brad Fittler and Mark Geyer,
and the experience of Greg Alexander, that led the Panthers to a magnificent
victory.
1991, MAJOR SEMI-FINAL | PANTHERS 16—14 BEARS
Falling just short of Premiership glory in 1990, the Panthers wanted to go one
better after securing the
Minor Premiership in 1991. In a tight tussle with the Bears it was Greg
Alexander’s kicking which proved
the difference, booking the Panthers a place in their second Grand Final.
2000, ROUND 18 | PANTHERS 32—31 WESTS TIGERS
Trailing by 31 points to eight against the West Tigers and with only
23 minutes left on the clock, the
Panthers rallied, running in 24 unanswered points in the club's greatest ever
comeback victory.
2003, PRELIMINARY FINAL | PANTHERS 28—20 WARRIORS
Having tasted the disappointment of the wooden spoon only a year before, the
Panthers capped a
remarkable turnaround season in 2003, winning the Minor Premiership and downing
the New Zealand
Warriors to book their place in the Grand Final.
2004, ROUND 22 | PANTHERS 72—12 SEA EAGLES
In a display of pure dominance all over the park, the Panthers run riot against
a hapless Sea Eagles
outfit, racking up thirteen tries including a treble to fullback Rhys Wesser,
and in the process recording
the biggest win in club history.
