I fay, Sir, foch might have been myopinion of -your motives on the prefent occalion, if you had not made it mani fefi: to me and all the world, that talking is your trade; that you have long ago battered every principle of honotrr, for the fordid confideration of lelf interelt; that the invectives of your fp'eech were dictated as much by the malevolence of your difpoiition, as in aid of your party and that your vanity and malignity excited you to publilh it By the former you were flattered with a belief, that your oratory would dignify abafe; and by the latter you were led to hope, that though your falfehbods might not pafs without deteflion, yet'they would make an imprefiion to'the prejudice of the Compa ny and their' ferva'nts.
