Jake Bugg releases his third album ‘On My One’. Still only 22, Jake wrote eleven songs, played most of the instruments, and produced most of ‘On My One’. The new single ‘Love, Hope and Misery’ is one of the standout tracks from the album and could not be more different from its funky predecessor; the radio playlisted ‘Gimme The Love’.
“I wanted something with an epic pop chorus because I hadn’t done anything like that before. Along the lines of Harry Nilsson, or Bill Withers.” Jake says. “The best thing was we actually got in Bill Withers’ drummer, James Gadson. He’s my favourite drummer so to have him playing on this record was a personal highlight.”
Following the incredible success of his first two albums, the double platinum 2012 debut ‘Jake Bugg’ and the top five 2013 follow-up ‘Shangri La’, this new disc firmly asserts Jake as one of Britain’s most exciting young talents.
