Jet Li's most famous role as film's single most-portrayed character, whether historical or fictional, Wong Fei Hung. Not a huge amount is required from Li in terms of acting, he is suitably humble, or in turn, stern, but he does it well, and it's difficult to watch any other film about this great Chinese hero without comparing the actor to Li.
Great fight scenes in each of the films, my favourite being Jet's match-up with Donnie Yen in the second film, don't shoot into the kitchen to make a coffee is all I can say. The proficiency of the core characters in each film is what makes these films stand out from the pack, and none of the three is lacking in quality or quantity of action sequences.
The supporting roles are filled well in terms of acting ability, and there are dramatic and comedic scenes in each film. All together, they are well-balanced and enjoyable on many levels.
