Author Biography:

Scott Jesse (Colorado Springs, CO) is an Oracle Certified Professional who has worked extensively with the Windows NT Operating System for more than 7 years. Scott began by deploying Windows NT on a corporate-wide rollout for more than 3000 users while working for MCI Worldcom. For the past 5 years, Scott has worked in the Oracle support organisation, primarily assisting Oracle customers in implementing the Oracle RDBMS on Window NT. For the last 3 years, Scott has specialised in clustering and high availability technologies on the Windows NT platform, including Oracle Failsafe and Oracle Parallel Server. Matthew Hart (Colorado Springs, CO) has worked exclusively with the Windows Operating System for more than 5 years, the last 3 of which have been with Oracle Corporation, assisting Oracle customer implement the RDBMS on Windows NT and 2000. From 1999 onward, his role has increasingly become focused on Oracle's high availability solutions, specifically Oracle Recovery Manager and Oracle Advanced Replication. For the past 6 months he has been involved in the beta testing of Oracle9i, and he currently supports beta customers who are rolling out 9i into the enterprise. Matthew became an Oracle Certified Professional in May 1999. Mike Sale (Colorado Springs, CO) is a Consulting Technical Specialist and Team Lead with Oracle's NT Bug Diagnosis and Escalation Team and an Oracle 7,8 and 8i Oracle Certified DBA. Mike has worked on and off site with top Oracle customers to assist them with integrating Oracle on NT. He is also a member of the Analyst Requirements Committee for Oracle's Test & Diagnostics labs and teaches Oracle University Database Internals classes. Prior to his tenure at Oracle, he worked in a number of positions as a developer, IT manager, and consultant.
