While reading the books everyone has their own ideas of how it all looks But when it comes to being on DVD it doe's not disappoint because you don't have to be a complete history buff to truly appreciate all that is shown on screen from the portrayls of all the charactors to the beautiful bits of scenerey … Thanx to all involved in making this Brilliant series !!

As a huge fan of the books, this series did not disappoint. Casting was brilliant, attention to script was almost word perfect to the book. Had to wipe the drool from my chin from seeing Jamie's hot body!!

I hate adaptions. They never seem to come close to matching the original, but this series is the exception. The casting cannot be faulted. Each character is brought to life on your screen. Eagerly anticipating part two in the hope that it will assist me in getting a fix from time to time until the eventual screening of series two.

I was worried this new series wouldnt be as good as the books, which are wonderful, but it was excellent.

I have read all the books and it was wonderful to see it come to life on the big screen. I was on the edge of my seat at times and fell in love with Jamie and Claire.

Wasn't able to read ‘cross stitch’, didn't hold my attention! That was a few years ago. Just loved watching the series! But I've now read five of Diana Gabaldons books!! Totally hooked! Love them , I'm obsessed! Can't wait for volume two !

Huge fan of the books and now a huge fan of the DVD adaptation which had great casting and scenery. Can't wait for the next one.

I have read all of Diana Gabaldon's books. The story of Claire and Jamie Frazer is a favourite of mine and I was delighted to find the tv series is reasonably true to the books. If you are interested in early Scotland's history this is for you.

Absolutely fantastic series, so closely follows the book which is unusual but so good for a change. Id highly recommend the series and books. Hurry MightyApe and stock part 2 I'll be the first to order it … Cant wait.

The only disappointment is how quickly the DVD’s end. Can’t wait for the next series.

An authentic recreation of the first book,originally called Cross Stitch. Convincing characters & settings take you from 1940's to the 1700's. Inspired me to start reading the books again, can't wait for season 2!

Read this series of books many years ago and was not dissappointed at all with the screen adaptation. Left me breathless in places, bitting my nail in others and really transported back in time with Clare. Can't beat a good read, but this is so faithful to the book it is just how I imagined it. Each time I finished a book I was looking for the next one, this series kept looking for the next episode. Enjoy!!!

I really enjoyed this movie, gave it to my sister and she is loving it, it appeals to us as we are Scottish.

Really great cant wait for the next series :)
