If you remember Paddington from your childhood you will love this book. Read it first, then share it with your children and let them revel in the amusing exploits that only the bear from Darkest Peru could get away with.

Paddington, the bear from Darkest Peru, who was found lost on Paddington station, is back with new covers and a brighter look to bring him up to date. Paddington's skill as a tailor is shown to be somewhat less than adequate in this story -- by the time Paddington has finished with Mr Curry's trousers, the Browns' neighbour doesn't know whether he is coming or going. And Paddington's birthday treat doesn't exactly turn out as the Browns had planned either. A pleasant day at the seaside ends with Paddington flying through the air! This unforgettable bear is as trouble-prone as ever in this latest reissue in the Paddington library.

Author Biography

Michael Bond was born in Newbury, Berkshire on 13 January 1926 and educated at Presentation College, Reading. He served in the Royal Air Force and the British Army before working as a cameraman for BBC TV for 19 years. In 1997 he was awarded the OBE for his services to children's literature.
