Author Biography

Dr. Chopra is assistant professor of anesthesiology at Boston University School of Medicine. He trained in anesthesia, with a fellowship in pain medicine, at Harvard. He is a frequent national speaker at pain medicine conferences. He has written extensively on the subjects of spine pain, cancer pain, and chronic pain. He is certified in anesthesiology and holds a subspecialty certificate in pain medicine through both ABA and AAPM. Dr. Smith is Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship at SUNY/ Albany Medical Center. He is author of the Pain Drug Handbook, and contributes to most of the major texts in pain medicine, including our own Warfield text. He specializes in pain therapeutics. He is certified in anesthesiology and holds a subspecialty certificate in pain medicine through both ABA and AAPM. Dr. Abdi is Professor of Anesthesia at Miami University, and co-author of one of the more heavily used books in pain management, the MGH Manual of Pain Medicine. He contributes to virtually every major text in pain medicine. He is certified in anesthesiology and holds a subspecialty certificate in pain medicine through both ABA and AAPM.
