I only bought a new one because my 40 year old Palmer's Manual fell apart, I couldn't do without one. This one is better because it has colour photographs.

"Great book, but this is a reprint not revised edition"
4 stars"

Palmers book is an excellent book unfortunately this is not a revised edition as stated but a reprint from the revised 1994 edition. The only thing revised here is the front cover. If you have the earlier reprints there is not much point getting this one . So very disappointed overall but I'm still giving it 4 stars but more for the content of the original.
