In respect of the distinction between the typhus and typhoid forms, this paper (so far as may be judged from the abstract of it published in the British Medical Journal of June 12th) strongly supports the Opinion expressed in 1849 by Doctor William Jenner, in his classical essay on the subject, that the specific cause of typhus and typhoid fevers are absolutely different from each other.
