Author Biography:

Pippa Greenwood ran the Plant Pathology department at the Royal Horticultural Society and has been a regular gardening host on TV and radio for more than 25 years, most notably on the BBC for Gardeners' World and Gardeners' Question Time. She lives and gardens on a windswept hillside in Hampshire. Andrew Halstead was principal entomologist (insect specialist) for the Royal Horticultural Society and is now a gardening author, journalist, and lecturer. He is also an avid beekeeper and lives in Surrey. Consulting editor Joan Allen is assistant extension educator for the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture at the University of Connecticut, where she manages the Plant Diagnostic Laboratory.
