I thought I needed dimmer switches around the house for my Hue lights, but the motion sensor is by far the most useful accessory. Walk into a room – boom light. Leave the room, and let the lights turn themselves off (set your own timeout). With the “Don't disturb my scene” formula in Hue Labs, you can disable the motion sensor if you're watching a movie or something. Set each sensor to control a discrete group of lights and you can literally have light follow you around the house.

Once I got zigbee2mqtt up and running, it was super easy to pair up and get it talking with Home Assistant. Detection happens within 0.2 seconds on high sensitivity. The lux sensor is great for turning on the lights when it starts getting dim, without worrying about the sun angle and cloud coverage.

A bit pricey compared to other brands but for main living spaces I think these are worth it.
