The booklet text of this CD is highly readable and tries to put into words the enchantment that French pianist Hélène Tysman exerts on the listener. But even better than simply reading the text is just listening to the CD.

After the briefest of moments, the listener will be deeply moved by a special fascination, the unmistakeably unique inner power of this 27-year-old pianist. She studied with Bruno Rigutto at the Conservatoire National de Paris as well as with Pierre-Laurent Aimard (Cologne), Oleg Maisenberg (Vienna) and Grigory Gruzman (Hamburg and Weimar).

Although the works recorded here belong to the often-performed standard repertoire, Hélène Tysman gives them a personal flavor and subtle energy that makes this disc particularly worth hearing.
