if you are a Playstation guy, you simply need to get one of these in your house. One of the best gaming experiences of my 30 years of life. The in game immersion is just fascinating and you really lose yourself. Your brain may need some adjusting, mine did as I had never experienced VR, leading to a few little moments of rollercoaster-esque nausea, but this subsided. This tech is here to stay. Get it!

Let me start by just saying, VR is not a novelty. At least not now that ps vr is out. Starting with a strong selection of launch games and free demos, ps vr has given me a good enough impression without having to buy any games for it. some games look better than others. And it may take some adjusting for some people to get over the motion sickness in some games. but you do get used to it. It is still an affordable and decent vr experience. One that doesn't lose its immersion from these minor set backs. And it looks like Sony is looking to carry on the support just by looking at all the games still coming out this year alone. Worth the investment.
Gaming has just opened a window to a new horizon for gamers. Sitting in my arm chair, with the headset on playing the demo disc for VR World. I decided to take the underwater tour. You could look up, down, sides and behind, and be completly submerged in ocean inside a cage, with fish and plant life everywhere without getting wet. Simple set up. Can't wait to see what else comes out to play, Highly recommend, it's worth every penny.
I was really nervous about buying this day-one because it wasn't available
to try out anywhere beforehand. I am glad I did though – in some ways
it's more fun than I expected – especially the free Playroom VR games.
They're platformers but so much more fun in VR.
The only downside so far is that it's not great for using cinematically so far.
I am far-sighted and not sure if it's a factor, because conversely, objects
near to me in the VR helmet are quite clear, but those at even a small distance
are blurred (the reverse of real life). I have been told that fiddling with the
output settings on the PS4 can clarify things a bit but haven't done that so
far. The VR movies in the video app are a disappointment because they're quite
blurred. If others have better results, I'm eager to hear how
they've fared.
A whole new way to play games. This puts you in the game and is just awesome to play. The headset is really comfy and I got no eye strain at all even after hours of play. A great product worth every cent!.
I'm so in love with these, everyone is but the only blunder I have is that all the good games won't be out till next year. Really lightweight and actually feels comfortable even though it's bulky.
A lot of wires but it was pretty easy to setup and it took a while to adjust the screen since it was my first time using a VR, heaps of tilting up, down and side to side.
Don’t have many words to describe my experience… Amazing!!! Thrilling!
Bought mine almost a year and a half ago on a standard ps4 and was motion sick quite frequently, Once I upgraded to a Ps4Pro VR was much more detailed and the motion sickness almost completely disappeared. I can now play for hours on end with no issues. Much of the headset however is delicate and no matter how well you treat it things will go wrong, within a few months the face guard had come loose multiple times, luckily it went back in easily, and just recently one of the rubber straps on the headset has snapped. Overall function is still fine even with these issues. Overall, it is Delicate so there will be issues, but I would still recommend.
This has to be one of the best new gaming gadgets I've played with this year ( Be warned highly adictive ) I spent an hour just sitting it the vr word demo screen moving around bouncing the ball around the room. I love the fact that you can look forward and around corners. I am looking forward to seeing what comes out in the near future ( watch out for motion sickness guys and girls they say younhave to ease in to it).
Was more than what expected as have never tried VR before it is an awesome introduction I can just imagine the games are going to get better and will be a game changer in video games
This is definitely the next thing, amazing experience and easy to setup…Absolutely worth it if you want the next best thing, but be warned most games are more about experiences then full fledged games so you definitely won't be jamming this all day. But trust me, once you put it on even just once it will blow my mind. Even my missus who gave me the “not another toy” look just can't get enough of VR now she has tried it.
This is definitely the next era of gaming. For a first Gen device it is very Impressive, a bit of flicker here and there, and quite out of focus on the periphery. However it is designed for you to look straight ahead and turn your head. The ability to make the definition actually look great is amazing. It does an excellent job of making you feel like you're there. I felt quite giddy just sliding down a slide in playroom vr! The 3D effect is brilliant, much better than viewing stuff on Samsung gear vr. Even though short, batman arkham Rv is one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. I can't wait for more games to come out, they can only get better.
This is a surprise birthday , not yet had , but uses other friends and loves it , this is for a 16 year Old
Love it
So after buying the headset I soon found out that it doesn't really sit well on my head and is really tight even on the loosest setting. Fun to use but the pressure on the sides of my head causes headaches pretty quickly so I can only really play it for close to half an hour at a time. So if you're head is a bit bigger then most peoples and you don't really want the discomfort then i can't recommend using it as even tho I have had it for close to half a year I have only used it around 7 times.
VR is an incredible experience for any gamer its worth every cent to own one for the PS4, very happy with it and Mighty ape has really good deals.
Thanks so much guys for another great buying experience
Definitely worth the investment but make sure you get your self an HDMI to HDMI adapter. This will make it easier to bypass the PSVR receiver which is prone to over heating and, unless you have wide open access to your PS4 cables, can become frustrating to plug and unplug when you are not going to use the headset. Otherwise, it is as immersive as advertised. It is uncanny that an ability we have in life, to turn around and look at what is behind us, is so mind blowing when applied to a game situation or an historic walk through the Colosseum. I wouldn't advise using it for hours at a time (especially in the warm weather) but for a 30–50 minute jaunt or distraction, go for it and enjoy.
I admit I am pretty much a FPS only gamer… I try other games wanting to understand the appeal of more ‘indie’ games or something, but really collecting coins and jumping platforms just hasn't grabbed me since I was young. There is just no visceral emotive connection for me unless I am running around trying to take out the opposition before they take me out. AFTER RECEIVING THE PS VR all of that changed almost istantly. Astro Bot that I received in my PS VR bundle is way way more enjoyable than COD BO4 to me. I thought I was going to sell Astro Bot sealed and get straight into FPS VR but so many new ways of interacting with the levels has made me feel like I am experiencing the first joys of gaming again like I did with my first console decades ago. The PS4 is no longer the COD game box and I love the PS VR for changing that. Still looking forward to trying a FPS with Aim Controller though.
After sometime I have adjusted to wearing this on my head and face. Watching movies is like having an i-Max screen in your living room. If I had one complain it would be the tracking on movies. After a little while you find you have to give the options button a quick press to reposition the view. I have seen many complaints on the net about this. Haven't really go into games yet as I haven't seen anything I fancy.
Best purchase ever!
If you want a affordable way into VR gaming & have a PS4 console this is for you. Just started to know the workings into how to use this great piece of hardware. The VR is just not for gaming but movies, youtude etc & watching videos is great to. Well worth the price very happy!!
Having used the htc vive and the oculus rift I can say that the psvr system stacks up pretty damn well. I run it off of a standard PS4 and notice nearly no lag. The main bottleneck of the set up is the camera. The high end pc systems have two cameras allowing full use of a room whereas the PlayStation camera has a limited field of view. The headset is actually more comfortable and intuitive than the oculus and vive. Ps, don’t buy bravo team.
Lots of fun, better than I expected.
I really love this and it's great it works with the PS4. The resolution is a bit low sometimes and it can be a bit blurry but the immersion is great.
Got my VR on time really happy with my order can't wait to use it when my next order “PS4” comes. Recommending mightyape to all my friends & family
Amazing VR, with games bundle. Amazing people and service.
This just opens a new world and immerses you in whatever you play. We have used this on games and experiences like Chernobyl experience. Amazing
After winning my race in drivers club I thought it would be worth looking at my replay and found myself positioned in the passengers seat which I initially thought a little weird, until I looked across and got a hell of a fright to see someone sitting beside me driving.!!!!!! It is so freaky I love it.
PSVR offers a great quality, surreal gaming experience at a reasonable price. Playing Resident Evil 7 in VR has justified the price of this headset for me alone. Its one thing to play games on a screen, but its an incredible experience placing yourself inside the games themselves!
Been using PSVR mainly with GT sport video quality wasn’t great, but steering input match video movement pretty well.
Amazing this is so great and a lot of fun I can onistly highly recommend this if you got a PS4 !!
Fun for everyone! Only had for a short time and already friends and family are wanting to give it a go and don't really want to share! It really makes you feel inside the action and in the game. Well worth the buy and can't wait for more games to release
Definitely a true next gen experience. Amazing concept and amazing features. Only problem is having true full games. Most feel like really good long demos. Otherwise GREAT ADD ON SYSTEM! Thanks mighty ape!!
Playstation VR is awesome and a great VR experience for the price and no doubt developers will keep making better and better content and refining the technology.
Haven't got my hands on VR because of it's price tag, but this bundle help to solve the problem all at once, now I could enjoy my batman VR
So much fun. Cant wait for more game releases
I took the plunge and bought one without ever having tried it. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and I'm really glad I gave it a go. The magic in gaming has returned for me, it's a whole different kind of experience that's really hard to explain, you really have to try it for yourself. I've instantly become a much better racing driver, with intuitive sense of speed and distance. Types of games I wouldn't normally be that bothered with have evoked wonder and amazement. You will notice things a bit pixelated and a bit clunky (though PSVR is far more comfortable than the competition), but it's all worth it. The main drawback at the moment is that there's not very many big or critically acclaimed games out for it yet!
Good fun for entire family, next level in gaming.
Don't think about it just get one its just well it left me speechless
I bought the VR headset with Resident Evil 7 and with that game it is absolutely amazing!
Wow. This is so good, so far mot playing any other games other then VR games.
My ps4 was collecting dust till i got the VR headset and love how your totally immersed in the games which a tv screen does not give.
I dont suffer motion sickness so can play for hours.
As for watching movies, its also great here and watched the odd tv program and NZ ON DEMAND catch up using the vr headset and while the res is lower than tv, still very watchable and accually like being in the front row in a movie theater.
You tube also has a vr mode and 360 videos, while many are poor viewing there are the odd ones that are ok.
If there is one negitive is the graphics in games are a bit muddy and slightly fuzzy, and not so clear as the tv, however the feeling of being in the game makes up for it.
If you can afford it, this is a must buy, and vr gaming is much better than playing games on tv.
The resoultion may not be there, but makes up in being immersed in a game, like being there.
Not sure if this will take off or not but I love it. My passion for gaming is revived. Currently V R is sold out. This is a good sign for the future.
This changes gaming. Batman VR was the most incredible gaming experience I've ever had. Playroom VR is also a lot of fun…and you play with other people in the room. With some games I do have moments of queasiness (motion sickness)…but this is going as I get used to it. I wasn't prepared for how immersive the whole gaming experience would be. Even my non-gamer wife is blown away by it…and is turning into a gamer as a result. Really feels like you are in the game world.
