"Contest introduction"
5 stars"

Nice to see the introduction of Pokemon contests in this series which makes a change from just watching Ash challenging gym leaders. Nice to see Ash using more Pokemon as well. This is a good season to get.

Pokemon season 1–5 were great but were getting rather repetitive. The introduction of the Hoenn region in season 6 actually makes the show fun again with a breath of fresh life.

Rather than using Pikachu for everything, Ash begins to use his other brand new pokemon. He gains a new travelling partner in May along with her brother Max, both of whom really add to the series.

Basically, it feels as though both the writing and art have made a great improvement and it probably the best season of Pokemon yet!

"American Fans This Is The Cheapest Way To Get These Episodes"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I am an American Pokemon fan who has grown up with Pokemon since 1999, and have been wanting to finally get all the episodes on DVD. This particular season is unavailable in America, and unless you're willing to pay $100 for each of the American sets this is the cheapest way to all of the Advanced episodes. You get all 40 episodes of this “saga” plus the last 12 Master Quest episodes specifically Address Unown up until Watt's With Wattson. This season aired from 2003–2004 on Kid's WB in America.

Description

Polishing off the Silver Conference, Ash heads toward his next challenge – the far-off Hoenn region. While he must say goodbye to old friends, he makes the acquaintance of May, a Trainer just starting out on her Pokémon journey.
