In Charles Demers' darkly comic debut novel, Daniel -- an East Vancouver obsessive-compulsive -- is forced to evaluate his self-absorption against the trials and traumas of others. Charles Demers is a writer, political activist, and comedian. His comedy is featured regularly on CBC Radio, and he is co-host of The CityNews List, a comic news show. He lives in East Vancouver with his wife.
