I am an avid JA fan and P&P has always been my fav. Therefore I have always despised any attempts by other people to write sequals or movie adaptations (excepting of course the epic BBC version) so was presently surprised by this. P&P which is amazing, and zombies – which are the height of coolness. So both together in the most happy marriage?! Awesome. None of the original intent or language has been lost and if I ever met Seth I might just have to marry him myself.
When I was made to read pride and prejudice in 5th form English I got about 13 pages in and then watched the movie instead, this made reading the book actually achievable! Great be thumbs up!
The title says it all really, it is Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Seth Grahame-Smith has done such a good job mixing the zombies in with the original classic that at times you'll be all “Hah, funny addition… or is it? Wait, surely they didn't say that in the original! Gah, why don't I have a copy of the original here to compare it with! oh well, on with the zombie mayhem”.
