Pride and Prejudice’ is the new film in 2005 from Working Title (who also produced ‘Bridget Jones's Diary’, ‘Elizabeth’, ‘Four Weddings & a Funeral’).
An adaptation of Jane Austin's classic book, the film is a charming tale of class-conscious England at the end of the 18th century. It features stunning scenery, beautiful music and a star cast including Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, Donald Sutherland, Dame Judi Dench, Rosamund Pike and Brenda Blethyn.
The hauntingly beautiful and mesmerising soundtrack was composed by Dario Marianelli and performed by Jean Yves Thibaudet & the English Chamber Orchestra. Strongly led by piano, this is a must for fans of ‘Shine’ and ‘The Piano’.
