Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands reviews

I honestly hadn't anticipated just how intense and clever this game would be, it's epic action plus puzzle solving elements, nothing compares to the ability to freeze water in place at will in to create frozen walls to jump up and frozen poles to swing off, and an exciting and engaging story, a must play, enough said.

Great game with awesome graphics, the only drawback is that you have to be connected to the internet to play, which is OK if you can have more than one connection going at once.

I paid $10 for this game and for that price it is a great game. For the price of a burger combo you get a recent release game. It is clearly a console convert to PC as the controls suit a game pad or controller but thats easily fixed by getting one. Good graphics.

This game is beautiful and up to date with most other games ubisoft has to offer (i.e Assassin's Creed). It is combined with great game play, good graphics, nice pacing and balanced storyline. In comparison to the old prince of persia's alot of things have been improved i.e climbing speed/scaling has been increased. The game suffers from a downfall and it is the main reason im not giving it a 5 star, is that control's seem clunky and your unable to change the camera angles which in some battles makes the fights very frustrating.

This game is better than the last prince of persia but however is not as good as the older p.o.ps in the sands of time trilogy.

The good:

• lots of action
• good story

The bad:

• a bit easy (especially the puzzles; not nearly as good as the puzzles in sands of time)
• ocassional glitches

Fantastic gameplay. Fantastic graphics. Fantastic story. Boss levels are a bit easy. But really fun.

I really enjoyed this gave, having played all the other I was wary of it being repetitive but it added some great game-play elements. I even enjoyed the fighting. My only gripe would be that it was a bit easy and short. If you enjoy the platforming elements of previous Prince of Persia titles then you should definitely pick up this game.

I had been anticipating this game for a very long time after playing all of the other games, and I must say it definitely doesn't disapoint! It sticks to the main typical controls while adding some new powers to spice it up a bit. Definitely worth the money I paid for it, all you need to do is get yourself all set up with the account the game provides and you're set!

Great game for the price. Give your fingers and brain a workout with this one. I liken this game to the Tomb Raider series.

It was my fault that I didn't read that an internet connection is required to play this game.

However, my broadband internet at any time of the day is just not fast enough for this game to even begin. I only got as far as creating an account and gave up.

The forgotten sands is a great game just like sands of time. Different story but also different controls. Very nice game. But a bit short, But then most games are 8–15 hours long. I prefer longer games like far cry. But over all, AWESOME!!

I found the moves can be a little tricky with the Keyboard and mouse… But enjoyed following the story and figuring out how to get through the levels! Great game! really enjoyed it.

I finally got to purchase and play PoP! A great game spoiled only by it's linear play. The graphics are excellent. Playability: excellent. Value for money: excellent. It did not take long to get used to the controls or learn the methods used to move around or fight enemies. However, I am used to playing games like Thief, Halo or Elder Scrolls where you have a lot of freedom to go almost where you want to, so was a little frustrated by the limited freedom that this game offered. The checkpoint save system also frustrated as it means that if you are having trouble figuring something out just before the next checkpoint and you die then you have to do a whole lot to get back to where you were. A few times I have given up and walked away. I am determined to finish this game as I do with all my games but it may take me longer than it possibly should.

Smoother acrobatics and more interesting battles makes this game better than previous versions. The graphics add a sense of epicness to the game by making back-drops a sight to behold. Easy to learn controls make this a good game for those new to the genre but also keep those used to the game style entertained.

Was realy enjoying it up till about halfway then trying to remember the keys to hold down lift off then hold down in an instance just got to much,as well as a bloody saw finger from anxiety over pressure and failure.so the enjoyment went out of the game.then the kids wanted to but had no show unless it was early in the game.Ive played a lot of games but this just got to much,UBISOFT need to get more user friendly especially when a game is being played on easy.Anyone whos played a user friendly game like frontlines fual of war.theres just know comparison

If you are good at acrobatic games then this is for you. Good story line but it does get a bit repetitive. Not something that grabs me but hey, everyone is different.

New powers, freezing water whats not to like

My only complaint about this game is the it requires a steady internet connection whilst playing it. I already knew about this before I made the purchase, but I wanted it anyway :P

Apart from that its a very good game!

Gets a little monotonous after a while doing the same sort of thing over and over, although I haven't finished it so dont take my word for it. The reason I haven't finished is probably because I can only play it for a little amount of time because it gets boring. great acrobatics though and great concept, definitely worth a play!

This game is an excellent all round platformer. The combat is a little weak in that the enemies are dispatched with ease, however this is offset by the fact there's lots of them. The puzzles are not too hard, yet challenging enough to keep it interesting. The level design is brilliant, the story draws you in and the graphics are very nice. Looks great in Eyefinity, and is a worthy purchase.
