Excerpt from Proceedings of the Rhode Island Historical Society, 1910-1911 The nominating committee reported, recommending Charles Read Carr of Warren, Miss Elizabeth Andrews P Elisha Harris Howard, and Frederick N ewton. Luthe Providence be admitted to membership in this Society. U motion passed unanimously, the secretary was directec cast a ballot for their admission to membership, and upor so doing, they were declared to be duly elected. Mr. Isham reported verbally, on behalf of the committel grounds and buildings, recommending that shelves be pl: in the basement and two stacks in the second story, and sundry changes he made in the arrangements for the car the maps. He also recommended that electric lighting bl stalled. These matters were referred to the executive c mittee.late treasurer of the Society, and it was ordered placed on file. The members then listened to a paper by Mr. Henry R. Chace on John Angel's Account Book. It was voted that the thanks of the Society be given Mr. Chace for his interesting paper.
