If anyone has played the original IGI and remembers the style of play, the key difference you find in this title is the change of game style – immediately. IGI felt, in many ways, more akin to a FPS (first person shooter) with more action while still giving you access to some covert type weapons and equipment. In IGI 2:Covert Strike the style changes. You focus on stealth, subversion and distraction. Simple things can mean the difference: opening fire on a guard will have 10 more rushing at you, while distractions only serve to put them on high alert. Rather, silenced weapons (like the H&K SMG-SD) allow you to carry compact firepower when you need it, but not be a draw card to more enemies. Ultimately you'r forced to look at new ideas of infiltrating, sneeking about and getting the mission plot done without much trouble. And while you still can pick up the enemies weapons and gear, you'll find the only advantage is the firepower and ammunition benifets. This is a great game if you'r into the Tom Clancy Splinter Cell series but want a bit more freedom than usual and more a leaning to FPS action than complete covert subterfusion.

All in all a worthwhile game to pass the time.

Continuing from where the first game left off, Jones is once again at the forefront of preventing international terrorism, world catastrophe and betrayal at the very highest level

Stealth gameplay - A silent takedown will give a significant advantage. There will be many points in the game where you are encouraged to use subtlety and intelligence, rather than brute force, in order to overcome an obstacle Story driven single-player game.
