Really impressed with this remote, it controls my PS4, Amp & TV!! Easily linked up and haven't had any issues. Recommend to anyone as a 3 in 1 solution. Especially awesome for on demand & Netflix use.

This controls the PS4 brilliantly. It also controls the TV effortlessly. And we also use it to control the amplifier that the PS4 sound is hooked up to. It was ridiculously easy to program the TV and Amp to the remote, two buttons did the trick. Now we have one remote to control our entire entertainment system instead of 3. Fantastic product.

Like the others said about it,I concur. We have 3 of these units,and they are great for what they are. NOTE,the PS4 is turned of by the PLAYSTATION button on this unit the same as on A PS4 CONTROLLER,so the person above that complained about this feature on the remote has a mute point. For this unit to turn of the PS4 by one switch press,RATHER THAN NAVIGATING THE MENUS ON THE PS4 ITSELF,MEANS the firmware on the PS4 would have to be rewritten for that to happen,disregard that complaint.The PS4 when a person shuts it down by a CONTROLLER IS DONE THE SAME WAY. This is the BEST ULR you will find for this price and we got ours on a 50% sale,which was really awesome. Programming soft keys manually can be trickier than other ULRs out there,but just be patient,and keep re entering the code if at first it doesn't register,or pick another soft key.

This answers the problem of, “How do I use my PS4 as a Blu-Ray player without getting unstoppable rage madness from using the controller to control it-” It looks and works like a remote control, and will control a bunch of soft apps on the PS4 (the BR player, Plex, etc.) just fine.

It's let down from a 5-star by two things for me: 1) the PWR button doesn't turn off the PS4 (you need to go through the PS4 Power menu, a bit painful) and 2) there's no function that turns everything on/off with a single button (like a Harmony remote). It works, but it's not really efficient.

Lots of functionality and well made but it goes to sleep after a while so if you need to pause what you are watching you need to press the PS4 function button to wake it up first. Not a deal breaker though and it sure beats using the PS4 dualshock controller for Netflix and Blu-rays.

No connectivity and was built for a fanboy like me. ‘Tried’ using this remote twice, pains me to write a bad review about Sony when I'm Sony everything. Do not buy this product, you'll be bitter disappointed.

The remote functions ok but some of the buttons are a little on the clunky side.

The remote is certainly a major improvement over using the regular game controller for media playback, but its lack of backlit keys, and its sub-par “universal” features leave much to be desired.

When viewing videos in a dark room you can't see the keys so you either have to remember their placement or turn on a lamp.

When paired to your TV and the PS4 the TV functionality requires multiple rapid key presses to action the desired result. When switching to the TV mode it's instantaneous, but when in the PS4 mode things like the volume up/down become quite tedious requiring 10+ presses to action a single command.

Really happy with remote functions originally only bought for PS4 but controls TV/Amp/Sky/PS4 perfectly. As always well packaged and fast delivery from mighty ape.

Programming is easy and took about five minutes to get it be synced up to control my PS4, TV (basic fuctions like channels, mute/volume, power and input selections) and soundbar volume. You just have to remember to select the appropriately programmed device to control. Handy have it all in one and great for Netflix / Blu-ray / DVD use on PS4. Great if you want to simplify, but it won't replace your TV remote for higher functions.
