Author Biography:

John C. Wilhelmsson is a professor of philosophy at San Jose State University. As a professor John is known for his thoughtful and independent interpretations and intuitive teaching style. Born and raised in San Jose California John became interested in having a career in philosophy after reading "Fides et Ratio" (Faith and Reason) by Pope John Paul II. He made Edith Stein the focal point of his research because Pope John Paul II mentioned her in this work. With the support of the fine professor of philosophy Richard Tieszen John began his research on Edith Stein. John was awarded his master's degree in 2007 and his thesis "The Philosophical Contributions of Edith Stein" was named best in his college. John currently runs two successful businesses while still teaching part-time at San Jose State University.
