The rigorous mathematical theory of the Navier–Stokes and Euler equations has been a focus of intense activity in recent years. This volume, the product of a workshop in Venice in 2013, consolidates, surveys and further advances the study of these canonical equations. James C. Robinson is Professor of Mathematics in the Mathematics Institute at the University of Warwick. José L. Rodrigo is Associate Professor in the Mathematics Institute at the University of Warwick. Witold Sadowski is Assistant Professor in the Institute of Applied Mathematics at the University of Warsaw. Alejandro Vidal-López is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China.
