The graphics on this game are amazing! The map is huge – it takes 16 minutes to cross it on horse back. I love the more in depth-ness too, like how you can actually have to skin the animal for a few seconds rather than push a button and it's done instantly. You can customize everything on Arthur as well as you horse. There are around 200 different animal species in this world of Red Dead, 19 of which are just the different breeds of horses you can break, train and own. If you pre-ordered and got the pre-order bonus the War Horse you receive is a beast! When I was playing it in the same room as other people they remarked that the cut scenes were like watching a Western movie. I highly recommend this game weather you have played RDR1 or not!

Rockstar have another winner of a game. This open world game will provide you with hours and hours of fun. I pre-ordered and received the game the day of release. I have invested 70+ hours into it and barely scratched the surface of the main story. That is because there is so many things to do and explore. It is so easy to be distracted with side missions, hunting or completing tasks. If you want to be a true outlaw there are plenty of people, trains and stores to rob. Or you can try and be a model citizen. Beware there is an honor system at play, so depending on your moral compass this will impact how the NPCs treat you and the game play will also change accordingly. I would recommend this game to any fan of Rockstar or the GTA franchise or anyone wanting to live out the cowboy lifestyle. It is not quite Westworld but its the closest thing we have for now.

As many reviews have said, this game is something special. I doubt there is a soul on this planet who would regret buying this masterpiece.

Amazing Story which is great even if you haven't played the original – which is great also. The open world has so much detail and the graphics are awesome. If you are considering this game, it is DEFINITELY worth buying.

Been waiting for a good game for ages, Far Cry 5 should have been it, but nope let down, THIS IS THE GAME PEOPLE, hours and hours of missions/side quests!

As a gamer, typically you'll pay $100 and smash out the campaign / story in a few days. That's not the case with RDR2, there's just so much to do!!!! Hunting, Gathering, Exploring, Stealing, Gambling, Five Finger Filleting, and the list goes on. Brilliantly rendered graphics with changing weather systems that make you feel like you need to seek shelter from the storm. Interesting NPC's with back stories, some you help, some you don't. You can choose to be honourable or a bandit. Just so much to do, so for $100, you certainly get a lot of “bang” for your buck!

A wide expansive world, interesting plot an engaging action. Become a bounty hunter, game hunter, cardshark or just plan on misbehavin' This game will take you back to the last days of the outlaw when the west had been won and civilisation was squeezing the frontier out.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been a highly anticipated game for a couple of years now and it doesn't disappoint, the whole game and open world feels very real and alive, great action, side missions complemented by awesome voice acting, random encounters with strangers, wild life and story. do not hesitate and buy this game you won't regret it especially if you are a fan of the first. R* has outdone themselves.

As a huge fan of the Rockstar catalogue, I was a bit worried that RDRII wouldn't live up to RDR or the hype. Happy to say my worries were unfounded and the game is possibly better than the original. There are some quirky issues with the PS4 Pro upscaling but nothing that can't be forgiven due to the sheer size and epic detail of the game. A great story!

I finished it was fun, pretty, immersive etc But once I finished it I started RDR1 again and a decade later its still plays better and the story is way better

But poor controls

If riding around on a horse worrying about both of your various survival levels for hours on end sounds like fun, this is the game for you. I cant imagine having to do that for weeks to get through this massive game. Sure you can unlock some fast travel later if you can keep awake, I just can’t go on. The shooting system isn’t the best & I kept accidently shooting th npc’s which didnt help. (L2 to talk R2 to shoot, easily done but hard to explain to a dead npc) I can’t see what all the fuss is about.

So far in playing this game on PS4 – the controls are average which is disappointing and makes for average game experience. Excellent graphics.

Ya know, I was starting to get bored of single player, then this came along. It really feels like they put a lot of love into this game.

Great story, gun fights and lots of things hidden throughout the map. Needs more good back ground music.

Well made open world, lots of content, great story, graphics look great.

Fantastic Ride from start to finish, the start is slow but plow through the snow and it opens up to an amazing experience.

I'm a fan of the previous game so my opinion is a little biased, however, when you strip away the hat, boots and gunbelt, the systems that work in the background to create this open world experience should be applauded. Well done Rockstar. And for all of you who did not purchase this game on day one, get a copy now!

An absolute overload of missions, tasks, interactions and everything. I'll be playing this game for years, and loving it.

Fantastic game to play!

Takes a while to get into and a minimal tutorial leaves you scratching your head at times. The game world is massive, the graphics, gorgeous and the interactions with the NPC's can be entertaining. The slow pace does take a lot of getting used to and the default control method is unwieldy. By all means get the game but don't expect it to be the greatest game of all time.

I thought they should of been a bit more unique but I felt like I was playing the first one again

How can you not love this game, since it was known they were making it I had high hopes and I got more than I bargained for

Fantastic game. Story line has amazing depth and delves into the badboy times of the gang before the 1st epic title. The gameplay is phenomenal and the Online mode has now been put on as of the last update. A beast of a game and graphics wise it sets the tone. Game of the Year for me

Bought for my grandson and he loves it cannot get him off

It has lots of stuff to do and it is really well made, although it does still have rockstars signature clumsy combat mechanics. For all the nice detail, the terrible controls drag it down. The mission design is lazy, it is really unresponsive, the stealth is some of the worst ive ever seen and the general gameplay feels like its dated by 20 years. It is great for just doing random things though and the storytelling is really good. Sometimes you can get blamed for a crime you didn’t commit and clearing the bounty is not cheap. However it is fun to take on the law and it does give you a reason to try to acquire money, so its a pretty good system overall.

The online mode is a bit grindy though. It takes determination to level your character up without turning to microtransactions and the payout from missions is small. Also the camp mechanic is severely broken. It is luck of the draw whether it turns up or not, sometimes it despawns or turns up in the wrong place and the worst thing about it is that the trader role is dependent on it. Typical of rockstar to charge 15 gold bars (which takes ages to get without microtransactions) for some thing that isn’t even finished yet.

Gorgeous graphics; fun, immersive game play. Controls are intuitive and easy to handle. Hilarious ways NPC's try to rob you. Fun game.
