Perfect for the person who loves playing character card-based games, but not to the serious extent of the usual demanding table-tops – and for any friends you manage to talk into playing. My wife and I were first introduced to RDI at a friend's wedding where we quickly became addicted – it's best played with the full four players, and preferably combined with the original set so you can mix-and-match characters between the sets, adding new dynamics, as some characters clearly have an advantage over others. It can take a bit of getting used to, and for the first few times you'll often be referring back to the comprehensive instructions included to sort out disputes on what cards can be played when, but it isn't nearly as demanding as the more hard-core pure table-top card games, and once you've got the hang of it, it's easy to guide new players through the process – we had a couple of friends over just recently and within minutes they'd got into the swing of things. It is admittedly a high price for what you get out of the box at first glance, but don't be put off – the replayability and fun potential means you'll be pulling this out for years to come and will doubtless get your money's worth. The manufacture quality of the cards and pieces is top notch, and the art on the box and cards is excellent.
