He got his start with Northwestern Mutual. He earned his chartered life underwriter and chartered financial consultant designations from the American College. He attended Brigham Young University and received a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Liberty University. Terry was born in Seattle and raised on a farm in Washington state, has qualified for the million dollar round table and been recognized for manpower development and as regional vice president of the year many times. Terry has spoken often at industry meetings about the process of obtaining referrals. He and his wife, Anita, live in Charlotte, North Carolina, and have three children and four grandchildren. Terry golfs, coaches youth sports and roots for Brigham Young University's football team, the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team and the Carolina Panthers."
