Excerpt from Report of the Attorney General, for the Year Ending June 30, 1972 The Division prepared and filed briefs and argued two cases on the merits in the Supreme Court of the United States, one involving the constitutionality of the state loyalty oath (cole v. Richardson), and the other involving the constitutional claim of privilege asserted by news men (in re Pappas). Both cases were decided in the Commonwealth's favor. In addition, the Division prepared and filed a brief amicus curiae in the case of Board of Regents v. Roth, which involves the question of due process rights of non-tenured teachers. Several cases involving the same issues are presently in the lower federal courts in Massachusetts. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
