David J. Tongway is a soil scientist and ecologist formerly with CSIRO. He is currently an Honorary Fellow at CSIRO's Gungahlin laboratory in Canberra. John A. Ludwig is a plant and landscape ecologist formerly with New Mexico State University and CSIRO. He is currently an Honorary Fellow at CSIRO's laboratory in Atherton.
